Welcome Back Home :)

I flew back into on Thursday of last week from being gone on a work trip and went straight from the airport to Laney's (first) open house at school. She was so excited to show us all that she has learned and made. The first thing she did was pull out her ipad that is assigned to her name and showed us all the learning games she plays daily. She can work that thing better than I can ;) Then, they personalized their own container just for their parents. In the container was all kinds of snacks they had made just for us. I couldn't tell if she made the food for us or herself because she was digging in.. lol. We received her first report card and were so proud of all the good reports. We started off the first week a little rough (she is a talker) but have been so proud of her improvements.

Then Friday, I left the kids again with Landon to go to girls night. I don't get out for girls night often so Landon was so supportive and encouraged me to go (even though I felt a little guilty at first). I went to my friend Sarah's house for wreath making party. It was so much fun. I made my mom a wreath and have intentions of making myself one.. just haven't had a chance yet. Hopefully I can get mine done before fall is over with. So glad I went to fellowship with my friends and made new friends too :)
(I defintley could use a little more practice)

Saturday, my sister and grandparents came down for a surprise visit. So laundry, cleaning and all the other things that I wasn't able to do the past week, had to hold off yet another few days. We made time for pedicures, manicures and the kids of course had to spend the night at my moms house since Aunt Mammie was down!!

Fun at Miss Cayce's Christmas store. Kipton isn't into Santa once again this year. Maybe next year will be the year ;)
A fun plate I had to have. You switch out the attachments for each holiday and special occasion.

Not often I get a picture with 2 smiles :)
Just a fun picture... our first fire this season!

And that's enough rambling for me :)

Airsho Fun!

I spent a week in Denver, CO last week for work, so I have fallen behind on alot of things, blogging being one of them... not to mention house work, laundry, cleaning, etc.

So here is a post from the weekend before last.

We took the kids to the airsho for the first time and I believe they had a blast. We went with family and that made it even all the more better. Kipton loves planes already, so to see them in action was so cool for him.

Here are a few pics to recap our fun!

Big 2 interviewed Landon at the airsho on the new rocket that is going into space and he ended up being on the news. He just gave his input on what he thought about it. We waited up for the 10 o'oclock news Sunday night and sure enough there was my man.. haha. For some reason it makes you feel special to be on the news ;)

Miss him {them}

My precious little nephew has started daycare. Such a bittersweet day. My sister was so lucky to get to spend 8 weeks with the little guy and now it is back to real life. I miss Jhett so much. I hate being almost 7 hours away from them. I have wanted to live closer to my sister and I miss her dearly and now that little Jhett is here it makes me long even more to see them. I know Jhett will do great in daycare and will make lots of friends. Praying the transition is easy for the both of them.

We love you Chelsea, Jeremy and Jhett. I don't think we can wait until Thanksgiving to see you all!!!!

Kip, Kippy, Kipton?!?!

I realize that the last two posts were all about Laney, so here is one all about Kipton.

If I were to sum this little boy up into one word it would have to be character. He is such a character. Always making us laugh :) I told him on our way home from daycare the other day, I love you Kipton Wayne. He said I not Kipton Wayne, I Kippy. Well excuse me little Kippy I will keep that in mind.. ha!

He loves every sport... he loves baseballs, golf balls, footballs, anything he can throw or hit. He loves knocking down decorations and knocking me or his sister in the face.. lol. He is all boy. But he also has another side when he plays with his sister and cousin Parker. He likes to play dress up with them. We were playing with cousins and he comes out of the bedroom with bright red lipstick on... oh my! I think his daddy and uncle nearly fell over.. this too shall pass. Daddy works very hard with him on the manly things. He has an awesome arm when throwing, very good at hitting his golf balls and has a pretty hard punch (thanks to his daddies lessons) but he does know he can only practice punches on daddy now. He makes some crazy noises too... manly grunts and growls (hilarious).
Excuse the hat hair ;) oh and the bright red lips..ha

Pushing cousin Liam around

This sweet little boy loves his sister to death. He wants to do every single thing that she does and say every single thing that she says. It is so sweet and I pray that this relationship they have going will continue like this forever. They of course have their moments of not sharing but that is only expected.
He had to wear his sisters googles.

We have included Kippy in on our nightly bible story reading and praying now that he is a little bit older and able to comprehend it better. His prayer every night "Jesus, I love you. Amen". Love it :) You can also ask him where Jesus lives and he will say in him, in his heart and in the sky.

This little Kippy will always be loved by this momma!!

Laney's Awards

We attended Laney's first award ceremony of Kindergarten. They have an awards ceremony every six weeks (can you believe six weeks of school has already gone by?). The purpose of the awards is to praise the kids that have done well in certain areas and it is also a reminder of what the child might need a little work on. Laney received a perfect attendence award (I was surprised we haven't missed for being sick.. lots of new kids = lots of new germs..eeek), a best effort award and an award for having no strikes in P.E. (so not getting in trouble). Landon and I were so proud of her. She defintley deserved ice cream afterwards. I think I heard her mention to several people after that she got ice cream.. without Kipton. I guess she thought she was pretty special.. and that's because she is ;) I am so glad she is loving Kindergarten and is always ready and willing to learn more. Smart little cookie!!

My little Fishy

What a whirlwind of a week already. We started Laney in swimming classes at COM. She goes two times a week, which is going to keep us busy busy. She has always loved the water and really not scared of it but I felt it was important to get her some lessons so she is real comfortable with it. She loved her first lesson but her brother on the other hand was not happy at all he couldn't get it. He can start in Decemeber when he almost three. Hopefully he can hold out until then :) They do parent tot lessons but I would rather him be by himself with a teacher. Plus I am not feeling up to being in a bathing suit twice a week for some reason.

Kip and I waiting on his sister to finish her swim lessons.

Laney jumping in from the side of the pool.

For now Laney is hoping to join a swim team but we will see how she feels after lessons. She is also wanting to start gymnastics again and play soccer. We have an active little girl on our hands.
