Ryko- Our elf!

Ryko has returned this year!! He has done a few naughty and messy things this year but he has also left us a few reminders.

Ryko was playing tic tac toe on the marshmallows and Laney thought he was being ugly, so she decided she needed to write a letter to Santa. Ha!

Both kids wrote letters to Santa. The first Santa we saw Laney asked him for a barbie. Then when she saw Santa at school and wrote out a list of the goodies she wanted she decided to add iPad, doggie, Tech picture frame, flower pot, flowers (a girl after my own heart on this one.. lol) and a few other random things. Kipton asked Santa for a motorcycle (small one he said), turtle and baby. Ha! These kids crack me up. Well Ryco had to remind them that when and if they don't get these things what the one and only true present is ;)

Ryko eating ALL the gumballs.

The excitement of the kids asking where Ryko is every morning and searching for him is fun. But then again we don't want to put too much focus on the elf and Santa. Laney is very curious this year and asking great questions... Does Ryko know Jesus? and I thought only Jesus knows what we are doing and thinking but now Santa can too? This is a great time of year to bring her focus to Jesus :) And wow what a great reminder to her mommy, daddy and brother too! Don't get me wrong.. we are still incorporating the fun traditions of this season but are trying our hardest to divide a line in between them, if that makes any sense :) Jesus and Santa!

Tis the season!!

What a wonderful time of year!! We have kept ourselves busy busy and here is a little recap.

We started the month off with freezing ice and sleet. The kids were out of school, therefore I was not at work. We decided to take advantage and take the kids to see Frozen in 3D. We loved it, such a cute cute movie.

Last minute Christmas shopping made this guy wore out! Lol!

Goodies for Christmas parties :) White trash.. yummy stuff!

We have been going over the different names of Jesus this season with the kids. It has been so awesome to see Laney remember the names of Jesus and tell us what each name means. We are really putting tons of emphasis on the true meaning of Christmas!! Here are a few words we have done, after we read verses and talk about the name we make an ornament.

Laney made a baby Jesus in swaddling close under the star of David at church last Sunday and she has slept with baby Jesus and absolutely loves it. This was the most precious craft ever! So thankful for awesome teachers at Stonegate. She has learned so much and memorizes a verse every Sunday. I pray that she keeps those verses close to her heart forever!

Parties, Parties and more Parties!!

Pajama Day for both kids :)

Laney's school party. She wanted to take a pic with a few girls she shares her table with :)

Kipton's school party and book exchange.

And last but not least, Landon's work Christmas party. My mom and dad kept the kids for us and they spent the night with them. I love the nights where Landon and I can just take our time with friends and not have to rush to put kids to bed! We had an awesome time and love our time togehter with no kids :)

Love this season and pray that each one of us remember the true reason for the season... JESUS!

Sesame Street Live

We took the kids to see Elmo and friends a few weekends ago in Odessa. Luckily it wasn't super busy so the kids danced themselves tired. We were excited that Tanner, Jodi and the kids were able to join us.  The kids had a blast!

Love special memories like these!

Younique

Hey girls! I have started selling a product for once in my life. I have never done this type of thing before but my cousin sold me the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara and I was sold. Younique has an all natural makeup line and I have only heard amazing things. The sign up fee was super reasonable and I couldn't resist :) (My mom and grandmother actually had to talk me into it a little). I knew I loved the product but I also know I am not the sales type... at all. I don't like to bug people. So I am learning a little about myself as I sell what I actually think works and is amazing.

Check it out yourself. These are my results with just one coat of 3D Fiber Lashes. You apply one coat of your regular mascara, one coat of gel, one coat of fibers and finish with another coat of gel. If you are looking for a more dramatic look you could do another coat of fibers. I like more natural, long lasting and not clumply mascara and this definitley is just that. (I am picky on my mascara's.. I never have been happy with mascara's I have tried until now).

This 3D Fiber Lash Mascara is only $29 + shipping and taxes and lasts you 3 months. This is the # one seller! You definitley won't be disppointed with this product!!!!

My kit should come in soon and I can't wait to try out all the amazing products they offer.
Think Christmas presents!!!!!! What girl doesn't love pretty lips and long lashes?

Have any of you girls heard of Younique before?

Go check out my website and let me know what questions you might come up with ;)

My Spanish speaking gal

Laney goes to a Magnet school, which basically means that the school she attends focuses on communication and technology. That being said she attends a Spanish class every other week and a computer/ipad class the other weeks. She may not be able to read yet (although she is so super close) but she can drop a few lines in Spanish. We will just be hanging out in the living room and all of sudden she is singing a whole song in Spanish. Landon and I both took a Spanish class in school but only remember a few things.. so we are a little rusty. She is defintley teaching us a few things. I hope she can hold on to and remember all the things she is learning at such a young age.

Here are a few things she knows so far in Spanish:

The months
The days of the week
Counts to 20
Shapes
Colors

In this video she is singing about the shapes... The song goes on to sing about the months and weeks but the size was to large to attach.

Weekend Getaways

This past weekend Laney and I packed up and headed toward Dallas. We picked up my mom, my grandparents and both aunts and headed for a day in Dallas for shopping.

We were celebrating my grandmothers birthday and what better fun than to do what we all love to do.... shop till we drop.

We then headed to Canton Trade days Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. My sister and baby Jhett met us in Canton and we had such a great time. Canton had all their Fall and Christmas decor out and that really got me in the holiday spirit.

I got lots and lots of snuggles with Jhett this weekend. Baby fever... yes a little much!!! He is the sweetest baby and just laughs and smiles all the time until he is hungry, then he gets angry.. haha.

Love Jhett's chubby cheeks.. I could kiss them all day ;)

Love this sweet boy!

My charm my sister gave me. I think I almost cried.. haha
Laney kept Jhett entertained all weekend. He loves her! And she is in love with him too ;)
My mom, Aunt Darla, Aunt Tereva, Memaw and Papaw

I was very blessed to get this time with my family and so very thankful for my hubby that kept Kipton at home and kept him entertained all weekend.

Landon and Papa took Kipton to a Tech game in Lubbock on Saturday night and he had a blast. Landon said he kept his guns up for nearly the entire game. What a sweet boy!

Go red raiders!
Kipton after church on Sunday.
I came home Sunday night to a clean picked up house, flowers (that Kipton picked out all by himself), a fire, no laundry and no dishes! I am so very thankful for my husband and realize just how lucky I am!!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from our little Super Hero, Laney and Firefighter, Kipton. We had a fun filled evening with getting lots of candy and goodies, getting our face painted, playing with our balloon animals, getting our hair died fun colors and eating cotton candy.

I think Nanny and Papa had fun too ;)

They were proud of their face paintings.

My precious boys!

Hope you all had a great Halloween as well!

Welcome Back Home :)

I flew back into on Thursday of last week from being gone on a work trip and went straight from the airport to Laney's (first) open house at school. She was so excited to show us all that she has learned and made. The first thing she did was pull out her ipad that is assigned to her name and showed us all the learning games she plays daily. She can work that thing better than I can ;) Then, they personalized their own container just for their parents. In the container was all kinds of snacks they had made just for us. I couldn't tell if she made the food for us or herself because she was digging in.. lol. We received her first report card and were so proud of all the good reports. We started off the first week a little rough (she is a talker) but have been so proud of her improvements.

Then Friday, I left the kids again with Landon to go to girls night. I don't get out for girls night often so Landon was so supportive and encouraged me to go (even though I felt a little guilty at first). I went to my friend Sarah's house for wreath making party. It was so much fun. I made my mom a wreath and have intentions of making myself one.. just haven't had a chance yet. Hopefully I can get mine done before fall is over with. So glad I went to fellowship with my friends and made new friends too :)
(I defintley could use a little more practice)

Saturday, my sister and grandparents came down for a surprise visit. So laundry, cleaning and all the other things that I wasn't able to do the past week, had to hold off yet another few days. We made time for pedicures, manicures and the kids of course had to spend the night at my moms house since Aunt Mammie was down!!

Fun at Miss Cayce's Christmas store. Kipton isn't into Santa once again this year. Maybe next year will be the year ;)
A fun plate I had to have. You switch out the attachments for each holiday and special occasion.

Not often I get a picture with 2 smiles :)
Just a fun picture... our first fire this season!

And that's enough rambling for me :)
