Last Easter!

I thought I would post a few pics from Laney's first Easter. Our little girl was 11 months old and I cannot believe how much she has changed.

Last year it was too cold to go Easter egg hunting but it didn't really matter since Laney couldn't really hunt them anyways. She had an Easter egg hunt at her daycare last year and all the kids just sat there looking at the eggs... pretty funny actually. We are so excited about this year! Laney is starting to understand alot more and we are really excited to tell her what Easter is all about. I know that she will have fun attending the Easter egg hunts we have planned to go to but we will not lose sight of what the holiday is all about.

Through his death, burial and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Easter celebration!

Friends :)

Our great friends Nathan and Dene and their sweet little girl Raylee came to visit us this weekend. Laney was super excited to have someone to play with. I told Laney way ahead of time that Ray was coming to visit so we heard about it for days. She kept saying "Play with Ray" and "Eat Ray" (which means Eat with Ray). Next time I will just let the visit be a surprise :) Lil Ray was just the perfect size. She has grown up so much! She was crawling all over the place so Laney thought it would be fun to crawl too. They laughed, danced and played their little hearts out. While the girls were having fun of course Landon and I enjoyed our great company too. Steaks, games and visiting!!

We took the girls to the park across the street from our house and they had fun going down the slide, swinging and riding on the police car.

And of course they had to take a bath together ;)

And they played and danced with the Fridge Farm.

We are so thankful for such great friends :)

Weekend in Dallas!

Laney and I packed up and headed to Dallas the last weekend of Spring Break with my sisters, mom and grandparents. Laney did very well in the car... thank goodness. She has never liked riding in the car but with five people entertaining her she did great! She slept several hours on the way home but only twenty minutes on the way there. Go figure!! My sister that lives in Tyler met up with us and lets just say that Laney is spoiled rotten!!! Anything Laney wanted she got. She didn't go to bed until after 10:00 every night and would wake up the next morning ready to go. I guess that what family is for :)

We shopped till we seriously dropped. Laney was such a trooper. She kept saying "Shop".. pretty cute. I think she is going to be like her momma... loves to shop.. her Dad better watch out :) We went to San Moon on Thursday and thank goodness it wasn't near as busy as the weekends usually are. We went to a few malls and of course ate at some yummy restaurants.

Aunt Chelsea (or CheChe as Laney would say), Laney and Me

My sisters and Mom- Love them!!

Taking a free ride in the luggage cart!

Laney trying to eat a corn on the cob. She did pretty well!

We definitely missed Landon while we were gone and we were very excited to see him! I think he missed us too. He had flowers waiting for me, dishes done and a fruit tart waiting to be eaten. Such a great husband!! We celebrate our five year anniversary next month and we plan on going to San Antonio for a quick weekend alone! Can't wait!!

Feels like Spring!!

This weather has been GREAT! It is exactly what Laney and I needed... fresh warm air. We played at the park (right across from our house) just about every day this past week. It is such a nice change to be outside rather than to being cooped up inside. I have definitely learned while staying at home with Laney that she is an outdoors type of girl. She would much rather be outside running, playing, jumping and laughing than to be inside doing crafty stuff.. such as coloring and painting. So all I can say is... bring on Spring!!!!

Here are a few pics of our visit to the duck pond this weekend. As you can tell she was very excited about the ducks!

Watching her dad and mom throw the bread. She did not want to even touch that bread but enjoyed us doing it.

Now off to the park!

She was going to tell the ducks goodbye.. with or without us!

We hope everyone has a HAPPY HAPPY Spring!!

Our weekend!

Thought I would share a few pics from our fast and furious weekend. We got to spend a short amount of time with my parents, grandparents, Aunt and Cousins. Laney had a fun time playing with her second cousins. Graham is only 3 days older than Laney and Devan just turned one. I didn't get any pics of Graham but got a couple of Devan. They are all just at the right age to really enjoy each other!!

Sweet second cousins!

Devan was not too sure about this lovey dovey stuff :)

Papaw was chasing them around and they we screaming their little heads off. They had a blast.

Memaw fixed her great grandkids some oranges... O's as Laney would call it.

We don't get to see my Aunt and cousins that often so we were excited to spend time with them.
