:-)

We had a fast but great weekend. My mom offered to watch Laney on Friday so Landon and I could go see "To Save a Life" at the movies together. What an awesome movie! It is a Christian movie and has a great story for teens. It isn't cheesy like alot of Christian movies these days. Landon and I already want to see this movie again!

Before heading to the movies!

Laney had a wonderful time while we were gone like always. She got to play in the hot tub, spend time with Nanny and Papa and play with her cousin Aiden. I don't think she even noticed we were gone!

Saturday we had lunch with Pops and Nana Becky and I was so thankful that Nana had plenty of games on her Iphone for Laney to play with. That kept her occupied the whole time we were at Olive Garden. Then we headed to visit with Tanner, Jodi and Parker. Before we knew it - it was already time to head home.

One last thing before we left Laney decided to show us her "new" moves. She was running around my mom's living room.. dancing, rolling and showing us how flexible she was. She was being hilarious. I wish I would have got that on tape. We were all cracking up at her. Silly Silly girl!!

A few Silly pictures!

Trying out pig tails! It didn't last very long before she pulled them out!

She didn't want her picture taken so she stuck out her tongue! Lil Goober!

Big Laugh!

Pushing around her baby doll. She has been finding her baby a toy to stroll around with. In this picture she had given her baby her necklace.

19 months old

Laney had her 18 month shots done last week (she is actually 19 months old now but we got a little behind) and was not a happy camper. This was the hardest appointment for me by far. As soon as the nurse gave her two shots she started screaming so hard she couldn't even catch her breath. Luckily Landon was off and got to go with me so we could take turns comforting her. She looked at both of us like.. how could you let her do that to me. So sad!! But we are done with shots until she is four years old! WooHoo!! As soon as we were walking out the door Laney blew both nurses kisses and told them bye. I guess she forgave them. But all the way home she told Landon and I "ouch" and held her leg. It's so funny to see her over exaggerate just to get attention from us.

Laney is: 24 pounds 8 oz - 50% of her age group (she usually is 90% so she is slimming down)
33.5" tall - 90 % of her age group (always been a tall girl)
And her head is 75 %

Laney is a busy busy girl. Exploring everything inside and outside. Some of her favorite things to do are climbing and playing with her baby dolls. She pushes her babies around in their stroller, feeds them, gives them hugs and kisses and talks to them. We are getting closer and closer to potty training. She has started telling me when she pees in her diaper. Now we just need to learn to tell Mommy before we go so we can rush to the bathroom. She learns new things on a daily basis and always amazes us with how smart she is! We are so proud of her and the things she has accomplished thus far :)

Big girl drinking Mommy's Bahama Bucks drink! She kept saying yummm!

Fabulous Weekend!

We had a great fun filled weekend. I watched Jillian (Laney's 2nd cousin) on Friday and really got to see play her heart out. Laney stayed up until 11:00 on Thursday night playing with her cousin. Her bed time is usually 8:00 but she was so excited and rowdy that there was no way of putting her down. They ran all over the house, played with dolls, read books, laughed and had a ball together.

Friday morning watching Elmo... and yes this is how they sat most of the show :)

Bath time! Water was everywhere:)

Friday night we went to the Tahoka Varsity girls basketball game and had a grand time. The game was so intense. Three overtimes and we won! Talk about being on your toes for the whole hour! Then Saturday we went to the Tahoka stock show to see our youth and the animals they were showing. Laney enjoyed seeing the pigs, goats and cows. She kept calling the cow a puppy (she was a little confused). She loved watching the pigs and got a chance to pet one and she was not going for that. She tends to like most animals from a distance only. I was very surprised that I actually had a fun time. Then we headed to town (Lubbock) and had a family night. We ate at Red Lobster (not exactly on our P90X diet) and it was so yummy and ran to a few other places. We had a fabulous fun filled and fast weekend. We are looking forward to this next weekend also... our youth is going to the Ignite Conference in Lubbock and I just know it will be great.

Hope you all have a great Monday!!

Our Love Bug!

We have a loving little girl on our hands. She is so full of energy and is always busy, busy and ready to explore new things... but she always finds time to show her love with her tight hugs and sweetest kisses. She is definitley a love bug and we LOVE it!

The best hugs anyone could ask for!

New Years Bash!

We brought in the new year with our youth group and had a great time getting to know them better! We were invited by Victory Life Church to join them for this event, so we did. We had Bodyworks (a huge gym and workout facility in Lubbock) all to ourselves. There was all kinds of fun things to do: play Dodgeball, Basketball, wrestle in Sumo suits, a bungee tower and a rock wall to climb, Halo 3 Tournament and much more. There wasn't a better way to start out the new year. (I was a little sad that Laney didn't get to spend the new year with us.. but there was no way she was able to stay up until midnight so Nanny watched her for us- she is such a lifesaver).

Here are a few pics from our eventful night:

We hope that everyone had a Happy New Year and we are so excited to see what God has in store for us in 2010.
