A week before her date, Laney and I headed out to search for the perfect dress. This was actually hard! We searched for several days, seemed like every place in town. But we ended up finding the perfect dress!!!
~side note~ Landon surprised me with a date last year, and bought me a dress and heels, and the dress Laney and I found matched the dress he bought me. So I just knew he would love this one :)
Date day finally comes, and we went and got Laney's toes and nails done.
Landon and Kipton left the house when Laney was getting ready and her dad left her the sweetest note. It told her to be ready by 6 pm and he told her how excited he was to get to spend time with her and how much she meant to him.
Make-up time! Laney begs me all the time to put make-up on her, so she loved this part. She picked out her eye shadow color, blush color, and even got to wear one of my new lip stains.
Doorbell rings at 6 pm, and Kipton was standing there with flowers for his mommy.
Then Landon rings the doorbell with flowers for his princess. And off they went. They went to Outback and to the movies to see Cinderalla.
Kipton came down with some sort of throat infection that morning, so we picked up his prescription, ran to eat at Taco Villa (his favorite place), then ran to a few stores to pick out new bedding for his big boy bed his daddy built.
This is how our date was. LOL. Kipton didn't feel good, and he had just spilled the whole thing of ketchup down his leg and all over his foot. So here is our date picture. Ha!!
And his daddy made this for all his toys :) Now all we need is a new dresser to match!
The kids are blessed to have such an awesome Daddy!! We pray that Laney will hold her boyfriends up to as high of a standard as her dad has set.
