Laney turns 8!

Sweet Laney Capri turned 8! She requested a slumber party this go around and I was so excited. I was thinking how much fun, and how easy! Well little did I know that slumber parties are hard, hard work but the memories we made were well worth the late, tiring night ;)

Here is a line up of our fun night! (Plus an overload of pictures).

We had her party on the last day of school and she had early release so she helped me get everything ready. This was probably a mistake, since she knew the line up she was asking the whole night if it was time for the next activity. I know for next time to keep everything a secret ;)

First up pizza on the trampoline!

Decorating cupcakes with as much sprinkles as you would like. Our dog Ellie liked this part. She had her fair share of sweets that night.

My mom helping with Baby K. She stayed until everyone fell asleep and also came bright and early the next morning. Couldn't have done it without her!

Opening gifts. Laney could hardly wait for this part. lol

And of course a water balloon fight.

Painting the driveway!

A few dads stuck around and played with the water balloon launcher. The girls loved this part!

We then went inside, got in our jammies and colored pillow cases. This was the most quiet all evening. haha!

Finished products!

We busted out the glow sticks and had a dance party ;)

And one more sugar rush, smores on the fire pit Landon fixed up. I couldn't have done it without Landon either. He fixed up the yard, filled water balloons, put up the tent and hung out with 11 little and 3 big girls. haha!

Pedicures and Manicures!

Movie time with popcorn! They were all crashed by 1:30 am. The invite said "Party all night, Sleep all day" but I am glad we wore them out enough they didn't hold me to that.

Twinkies!! I love sleep overs with my BFF. This wasn't planned but we thought it was so cute they matched.

A big shout out to my BF Katy and mom! They both stayed until all were sleeping and were over to help early the next morning. We were wore out, can you tell???? I owe them big time ;)

Thanks to all the girls for being so sweet and coming to celebrate Laney turning 8!!

Bad news.. Laney, Landon, Me and even Kingston all came down with the tummy bug the next day. Booooo!!! I am so grateful that nobody else got sick though. Just made for lots of laundry for us ;(

Big thanks to Tanner and Jodi for keeping Kipton occupied. They went swimming in the hotel and Kip had lots of fun. He didn't want to hang out with all those girls... one day he might enjoy that..lol.

End of the school/sports season :)

We are so excited that summer is here! The kids had a great school year and we had a busy time ending the school year with projects, parties, programs and more.

I cannot believe my baby boy graduated preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. I just cannot believe it is already that time. He had an adorable program with his preschool class at Crestview. They sang precious songs, said bible versus and he even had a speaking part ;) Makes this Mommy sad that he is growing up so fast. We have loved Crestview and especially enjoyed seeing him learn and love Jesus more and more each day.

Our baby girl is on to 3rd grade. Wahhhh! She had a great year at Carver and made straight A's. We are so very proud of her!!

We also ended soccer and tball season. So glad we can enjoy our breaks before it starts up again. We loved both seasons and both kids learned so much!

For Laney's last game, we celebrated with crazy socks and crazy hair. It was the best game yet.

And of course, Coach Landon joined in on the fun ;)

My friend Crystal told me that her husband was going to coach tball this season, so we knew we needed on his team. I am so glad we did, it was the best season yet. The boys learned so much and had a blast. Go Wildcats!

Now it's time to enjoy the calm summer months.. haha.. who am I kidding?!? It will be a crazy one too, but I will enjoy every minute of it!

Kingston- 3 months

Our baby boy, Kingston, has hit the three month milestone. Here are a few things you are up to:

  • You found your hands and love to eat them and chew on them.
  • You found your voice and love to talk. You make the cutest expressions with your eyebrows. And those giggles... ahhhhh, precious!
  • We now have a roller. You can roll from your tummy to your back. Tummy time is finally fun for you ;)
  • You love your brother and sister and are always looking for them.
  • You eat 5 ounces every 3 hours.
  • You sleep some nights all the way through, but you wake up at 5 every morning and get snuggles in bed and fall back asleep with mommy and daddy. We will have to kick that habit soon, but we are enjoying it while it lasts.
  • And talk about happy, happy, happy. You are always happy, unless you are tired or hungry. You like sleep (like your mom) and like to eat (who doesn't).
  • You are finally getting used to daycare. You take good naps and love your teacher. It was a long adjustment period but glad it is easier for you and for mom!

And just for fun, here is a comparison of you and your brother. You are holding onto your hair longer than your brother :) (For now anyways).

You have been such a trooper during soccer and tball season. You slept most games and didn't mind us lugging you around everywhere :)

We are so blessed to have you and can't imagine what life would be without you.

Happy 3 months and try not to grow up to fast!!

Wedding Weekend!

Weekend before last, we packed up and headed to Decatur (Dallas area). This was our first time to travel as a family of five and we survived ;) It was actually very smooth and we were so happy we decided to go. My cousin, Cody, got married (on our anniversary actually) on a beautiful ranch. We had a great time visiting with family and we were so glad my aunts and cousins we able to meet baby Kingston.
Baby K slept the whole wedding and part of the reception ;) He is a sleepy baby.
Sweet cousins!!
I am SO blessed to have her as my MOM!!

The reception was so fun. The kids danced their little hearts out. Mommy and Daddy got to join in on some dances too :) Our little Laney is a dancing queen, she watches tons of you tube videos, so she knew all the dances.
Major Daddy's girl!! Melt me already!!
And he decided to wake up finally ;)
Nanny dancing with her boys!
So blessed to have our Memaw and Papaw!!
So glad we had a great weekend away with family and Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Cody Hunter!

Soccer, Awards & Anniversary Fun!

A few weekends ago Laney had a soccer tournament in Odessa. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We set up a few tents and enjoyed watching the kids play and visited with the other soccer parents. We had a great weekend and the girls played awesome!
SISTER'S BIGGEST FANS :)
SOCCER MOM AND DAD ;)
It just so happened that the Hayes family came in that weekend, so we got a good visit with them and the kids came and watched a game. Laney loved having them there to cheer her on :)

Laney had an awards ceremony for the last six weeks and received an Integrity award. We were very proud of her and couldn't have picked a better award for her. Sweet, kind, loving girl we have. Her best friend, Lily, wanted a picture with her too ;)

Landon and I celebrated our 11th anniversary a week early because we were out of town on our actual day. We ate at Venezia's and went to the Proof bar. We had a fun night and so blessed to have a night to ourselves. Thankful for my mom for watching all 3 kids by herself. She is a pro :)

I couldn't imagine doing life without him!! Looking forward to many more years to come!
I love this picture!! Haha!!! He really does love me ;)
This past Friday we both had a day off. I started out the morning with a massage, then we headed to a fun day at the golf course with our besties! Gorgeous weather and great company, I couldn't of asked for a better day.

Easter 2016

We had a great, relaxing Easter! The weather was beautiful, so we spent most of the weekend outside.

The kids begged us to have an egg hunt Saturday, so that is just what we did. We were a nice mommy and daddy and bought the kids a new trampoline. When we sold our last house, we left the trampoline there for the next family to enjoy (we really didn't think it would fit our new backyard). After some measuring we decided we would go get another one and make it fit. The kids were so excited and jumped all day!

Easter Sunday we decided we would make our first adventure to church since having Kingston. We took Kingston into church with us and he slept in my arms the entire service. It felt so good to be back.

My whole heart!!!
This year was the first year we didnt have an egg hunt with cousins or with Nanny and Papa. Everyone was out of town. It just wasn't the same without all our family!

We were invited over to Katy and DJ's for brisket, potato salad and homemade strawberry cake. It was so delicious, that girl can cook!!! The kids had fun with Hadlee playing with play dough and Easter egg hunting.

So thankful to celebrate Easter and remember the true reason for the season,

Side Note** Real life talk!
I started back at work the Monday before Easter (thank goodness, it was a short week) and it has been such a hard transition for not only me but for my little Kingston. He is having a hard time adjusting and isn't sleeping well. I held him too much the 7.5 weeks I was at home with him and now they are trying to get him to go to sleep by himself and with all the noise from the other babies it is hard for him.

I also have felt so defeated the past two weeks. With soccer, tball, school, daycare, dropping off three kids at three different places, picking them all up at different places, making school lunches, homework and anything else I have been forgetting.. I have been beating myself up about being "super mom". I read an encouraging blog the other day and it was a great reminder to give it all to God. I can't do it all but I am going to embrace the craziness and give it over to him.

I am not saying all this for sympathy and don't want anyone feeling bad for me. I know we can all feel like this at times and it's real life. It's not always amazing, it's tough but I know that it is all worth it when I look at these beautiful children. I really have been blessed.

Here are a few pics of the sleepy, sleepy Kingston after I pick him up. I am praying he will adjust soon to his "new" schedule and this mommy heart will be so much better.

This was his first day at daycare!
I saw this quote today and I will share. It really hit home with me!

"Life is amazing. And then it is awful. And then it is amazing again. And in between the amazing and the awful, it's ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That's just living heart-breaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it's breathtakingly beautiful." - L.R. Knost
