Laney's 7th Birthday!!

Our sweet little girl turned 7 this last weekend. She has the sweetest, most gigantic heart of gold, loves God more than I can ever explain, is a little smartie and has a precious personality that constantly has us giggling. I cannot even imagine life without her. I am so blessed and grateful that she made me a mommy 7 years ago.
She wanted a pool party this year, so that is just what we did! Uncle Ryman was so thoughtful and offered his pool for the party. It worked out perfect. It rained the two days before her party and even the morning of the party but luckily dried up just in time.

Cousins!!

She also requested a pinata!!
Sweet girls!!

Thank you all our family and friends who went out of your way to come and celebrate our precious Laney!! It meant the world to her and she definitely felt loved!

This and That!!

I am going to play catch up on this post :) (Warning it's a long one).

We finished Kipton's t-ball season. He loved playing and looked forward to every game. I have to admit I was glad it was over, 2 games a week (plus Laney and her soccer) just about did us in. We will for sure be playing next year though. Kipton recieved his first trophey and he was so proud of it!!

Weekend before last we headed to Baird for mother's day weekend and a wedding. I always enjoy spending time with my grandparents and love them both too pieces. So blessed to call them mine. Both my grandparents and my mom just got new puppy Yorkies (they are brother and sister). My kiddos love to play with them, hold them, take them outside and give them kisses.
Laney loving on Harley and Corky! (Corky the Yorky... I love it)
Baird had a horrible, scary storm blow in Saturday night, so Sunday (Mother's Day), we woke up to a huge oak tree that had split in my grandparents yard. We spent all morning breaking down tree limbs and calling electricians. Interesting Mother's Day for sure but I am so glad we were there to help and they weren't left to clean up the mess by themselves. We were also so thankful that nobody was hurt, the tree was inches from going through the window to the house.

After that choas, Landon and I headed to a wedding in Clyde (just 20 minutes from my grandparents house). We taught a student in Tahoka when Landon was youth pastor and he called and asked Landon to do the ceremony. It meant alot to Landon and we were excited to be apart of it. The venue was gorgeous and the weather turned out perfect!!

Congrats to Heather and Xaiver!!
A little photo booth fun!
This weekend Landon's uncle got married. Landon's brother, sis and kids came in to visit. Of course, that is always a fun time. (Sorry not sure why I didn't get any pics of the wedding). It was a beautiful ceremony and we are so happy for the new couple :)
Sweet cousins and best friends!
We also attended a "desserting us" party for a sweet couple in our COM group at church. Lauro and Brittany are being transferred to Austin (where all her family is). We are so blessed to have been able to get to know them and thier amazing hearts and glad we can call them friends!
So blessed by each and every one of these girls!!
Saturday was crazy and busy busy!!
That evening we had a sweet friend come in town for a visit. We had a girls night of catching up, eating yummy Luigis and watching Pitch Perfect in the theatre.

Sunday was a day full of laundry, cleaning, resting and loving on these sweet munchkins. They both dressed themselves, I was so proud!! Guns up ;)

We also had lots of drama come Sunday night. Laney's front tooth was just barely hanging on. Landon told her to wiggle the tooth all day and if it wasn't out by that evening he was going to pull it. Let's just say two hours of crying and screaming, I reached in there to "wiggle" it (well a hard wiggle) and the tooth just fell right out. Poor girl and poor mommy and daddy. Tooth pulling has been a very tramatic thing in our house ;) But it's out, and now it feels so much better and she can actually eat. She has two more loose right now, so we are praying they come out on their own.. lol.
Tooth #4 gone!! Our little snaggle tooth!!

Happy Monday friends!!

Cruise Vacation 2015

We had a wonderful week away with our dear friends, Katy and DJ. It was the first time for all of us to go on a cruise and I would say we all had a blast and would definitely go again. We chose to do a four night, five day cruise and I think it ended up being the perfect amount of time. We headed down to Galveston on a Wed morning, made the long drive, then had dinner on the beach. Next morning, we had a few hours so we drove to the spot Landon and I got married, almost exactly 10 years ago. It brought back so many wonderful memories standing in the same spot that we said our vows and said I do, seeing the stairs I walked down and the exact rocks we took pics on. It was so fun to reminisce and brought back tons of emotions, good ones of course.
Landon had the idea to re-create this pic, standing on the same rocks ;)
Next up, it was time to board the ship. We had a blast and did it all. The shows, casino, dancing, dinners, relaxing, pool time, eating great food and even bingo. {Here comes picture overload}
So glad we got rooms with balconies. This was my favorite time, relaxing and watching the waves!!
This was our first night. Selfie on our balcony!

Second night, dinner and more fun!
And of course, another selfie on the balcony ;)

Our destination was Cozumel. It was so much fun!! Landon and I have never been there before and loved it. I think next trip will have to be 5 days to Cozumel. We booked a Catamaran Cruise with snorkeling and a privite beach. The guys snorkeled while we drank margaritas on the Catamaran. When we arrived at the beach, Katy and I got massages, put our feet in the sand and water and laid out with drinks in hand. The guys played sand volleyball and played on the inflatables in the water. We also, had plenty of time for shopping in Cozumel and ate at Fat Tuesday's. The food was amazing and of course the drinks were too.
So blessed to call them friends!!

Pool time on the cruise was so much fun! Tons of entertainment, good music and games!
Gorgeous Sunset!!
Just a fun pic to show all the things going on. Just in the middle on the boat.
And of course, no vacation is complete without making new friends..lol
We made so many fun memories and are so grateful for the time we had away. Big thanks to my mom and dad for taking care of my babies while we were gone. And my sis for driving down lending a hand too. They were taking the kids to school, daycare, soccer games and t-ball games. I knew they were in great hands and didn't have to worry about a thing.

10 Year Anniversary!!

I don't know about you, but I think 10 years is a huge milestone! It has flown by and has been the best years of my life. Landon and I started dating Junior year in High School.  We have been through so much. Everything from several Proms, Highschool, Dates, Our Wedding, Moving (several times), Kids, more Dates, to New jobs. But every single moment has been worth it. Happy to Sad, Laughs to Crys but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am beyond blessed and thank God daily for the husband, daddy, son, brother and friend he is to us all. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this guy! Amazing how the bond and love can continue the grow the way it does.

Here is our first picture ever taken together!! Landon's buddy, Joseph, told Landon he needed to start going to church with him because there were hot girls there. So, he started going and that is when we met and started dating and the rest is history :) (We look like babies)
Junior Year in High School - 2001

We are leaving on a cruise with some friends this week to celebrate our aniversary but also thought we would take advantage Friday night and celebrate!! We went to the new Steak 42 and it was amazing!!! I really think that was the best Filet Mignon I have ever had. We will defintley be going back. It was delish!!!

Easter 2015!

We had a wonderful Easter! Tons of family time, great food, egg hunts and way to much candy! But most importantly celebrated Christ's death and resurrection. I love that the kids are full of questions on what the holiday's are all about. Gives us all a reminder of why we really celebrate.

Every year we go to Hill park and Easter egg hunt. They have all kinds of fun activities for the kids to do.  It was a chilly morning but luckily the weekend warmed up!

We had lots of time with Aunt Chelsea, Uncle Jeremy and cousin Jhett :) We took them to check out our new Grub Burger!!

We have a family tradition that we all go to church together on Sunday morning. I love taking up a whole row in church :) So blessed by each and every one of them!!

We had a great afternoon of egg hunts, smoked ribs and time outside.

Life is wasted if we do not grasp the glory of the cross, cherish it for the treasure that it is, and cleave to it as the highest price of every pleasure and the deepest comfort in every pain. What was once foolishness to us—a crucified God—must become our wisdom and our power and our only boast in this world.
