Disney World (Part 2) :)

Day 3 of our family vacation in Florida: (warning..picture overload..once again)

We woke pretty early and headed to our character dining reservations at Animal Kingdom. For those of you that plan on going someday.. the trick is to make reservations first thing when the park opens (usually at 9) because you check in for your reservations at the front gate and they let you in the park before anyone else... so no standing in line with the other hundereds of people :)

Our character dining was with Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy! We were a little unsure how Kipton would do with all the characters. He only likes Santa, the Easter Bunny and any other character from a distance. This was his first time to see a character up close and personal at Disney World and he did as expected. He ran into his dad's lap and said hold me.. haha. They all came up to our table and signed the kids autograph book and took pics with the kids. Of course one of us had to hop in the pic with Kip ;) He did warm up enough to give high fives but a hug was out of the question..lol!

Next up on the agenda was a safari. (By the way, we had a travel agent book everything for us, she booked our resort, airfare, fast passes, dining reservations.. everything. We went by an agenda she printed off for us. It was super easy to change as we were there and worked out perfectly.. didnt stress a single time). This safari was super cool. We hopped on an actual safari truck and saw many animals.

We also elected to add the Disney experience photo pass memory maker. There were photographers all over the parks and they snap cool shots and scan your bracelet and your pictures automattically upload on your Disney website. I recommend this feature :)

Check out that crazy tree!
We saw a live Nemo show!! And enjoyed the nice airconditioned building.. did I mention is was sooo humid and hot :)

We used a fast pass to meet Mickey and Minnie and get a memory maker picture! And holy moly we had a breakthorough.... Kipton actually leaned and and gave them both hugs! From this moment on he was all about pictures by himself (well with sister) and hugs :)

We checked out DInosaur land that was inside of Animal Kingdom. Kipton especially loved this! Dinosoar rides and even a dinosaur play area. The kids managed to find a cave that had water, so they cooled off :)

We headed back to Magic Kingdom by tram and ate dinner, then camped out to watch the electrical parade and the most amazing firework show on the castle.

Exhausted to say the least! But such an amazing day!!

Disney World (Part 1) :)

We just got back from a week at Disney World and man did we have a blast. Lots and lots of walking in Florida's humid heat. We are used to the heat but not quite used to the humidty but we survived and made the most of it :)

I wasn't quite sure how the kids would do on their first airplane ride. We brought lots of things to keep them busy on the plane. Laney was great, she could color and play on her leap frog for hours but Kipton on the other hand is a busy body. He was fine until an hour into the flight... he wanted out of the seat belt and wanted out of his seat. He sat by the window so that distracted him a little but pretty much whined and wiggled the other hour. Luckily we sat by a mom that had her two kids, not to mention that the whole plane consisted of crying kids anyways. But on the flight home, both kids got a dose of melatonin and slept the whole flight.. haha.. don't tell ;) We will keep that in mind for Kipton's next flight :)

We arrived in Florida right after lunch, so we checked out our resort and headed to the pool. After our little swim we then headed to downtown Disney. We shopped for our autograph books and the kids found them a pair of mickey and minnie ears. We ate dinner and headed back to our resort and called it a night.

Port Orleans, Riverside Resort
Royal Princess room. The headboard lite up with fireworks. Pretty magical if you ask me ;)

First night was a success :)

Day 2: Headed to Magic Kingdom. Tons of rides, boat rides, Disney parade, shows
and lots and lots and lots of walking :)

Our chair right outside of our room that we took a pic on every morning! Day 2 :)
My loves!!

**Love**

Mad tea party ride!
My sweet princess!

It's a small world boat ride!

Disney Parade.. Beauty and the Beast

Snow White and her 7 Dwarfs

Disney Show on Cinderalla's castle!
And that ends Day 2. My legs were so sore from walking all day.. I wish I could have been pushed around in a stroller all day :)

Sorry for the long post.. I will break it up and finish our family vacation (in pics) next week.

Laney's 6th Birthday Bash!

We celebrated our (not so little) girls 6th Birthday a few weekends ago. Time sure flies when your having fun! Laney had it all planned this year. She wanted it at Millers Gymnastics and she wanted a Frozen Birthday party. I tried talking her into other things... until her daddy reminded me that it wasn't my party but hers and she gets what SHE wants! Ha!! So Frozen party it was!!  I went into party planning mode several months before because I knew the second the party was over it was packing for Disney World. So.. a crazy few weeks we had!

She had lots of friends and family come and we are so grateful for you all, and also grateful for the ones that were there in spirit that could not make it ;) A special thanks to Aunt Cheche for surprising us with a visit. She spent the $300 to fly down here, by herself with precious little Jhett to surprise Laney. (I felt like it was my birthday).

Do you want to build a snowman goodie bags!

She was so proud of her cake! lol

Her Daddy blew up balloons on her birthday!! She loved that! We love you sweet little Laney.

Little Kippy Wayne!

Oh my little Kippy! You have grown to be such a big boy and it makes this mommy sad! You are such a studly "lil man" (as you call yourself). You are for sure ALL BOY.
~You always go to the first pile of dirt and stick your hands right in it, you find every stick and rock that we walk by and insist that you throw it.
~Your favorite thing at school is the sand box. You come home every day with sand everywhere and it doesnt bother you one bit.
~You love to growl and say "I'm a man". Cracks me up!
~You like to randomly shoot things with your imaginary gun you carry.
~When I ask you to clean your room, you also ask sissy to help you. And you always put your shoes in your dirty clothes basket every time. I always know exactly where to look when we are missing a shoe ;)
~ You love, love, love doing guy things with daddy. If I say I am going shopping, you tell me you are going with the guys to golf. You love bringing your clubs along and hitting balls.
~You tell me every single morning that you had good dreams and you dreamed about mommy. When I ask what I was doing.. the answer is always Mommy was eating ice cream. hehe. Every single morning we have this convo :)
~ You love, love, love your sister. End of story.
~ You will randomly be talking and like to add in grunts and growls.
~ You are a mommy's boy but for sure wants to have your special time with daddy too!
~ You want to wear cowboy boots every day because you are a cowboy!!
~ If we ask you where you want to eat.. you pick Taco Billa (Villa).. every single time.

Kipton Wayne, Mommy and Daddy adore you. Even though you like to make messes and pour dirt all over mommy's floor, we wouldn't change a thing about you!

Cowboy Kip!
My lil man!
Sunday afternoon nap! My boys!

Toothless Laney :)

Laney has officially lost her first tooth. Her bottom left tooth had been wiggly for quite some time. We kept telling her to wiggle wiggle wiggle. It started getting so wiggly that it would hurt when she would bute into things. And I'm sure the tooth that was already growing underneath it was started to bother it too. Last Sunday it was so loose that we told Laney it has to come out this week. So we watched you tube videos on how to pull a tooth. There are some creative ideas out there folks. Of course tie the tooth with a string and tie the other part to a door, a string attached to a rocket, a string attached to a dog. We watched video after video with Laney and all these kids were just laughing and pulling teeth was a breeze. So here we are Monday (May 12th) and the poor little tooth is just about laying down. So Landon says we are getting this tooth right now. Laney starts screaming bloody murder. I mean seriously it was so traumatic just thinking about it for her. So through 20 minutes of screaming Landon finally gets the string attached (which was no easy task) and gently pulls and it's out. Wheeeeeeew! Nobody told me that was going to be that hard. All the videos we watched it was sooooo simple!   Anywho.. it was out we were happy and so was she!! Tooth fairy came and left $10... holy moly.. what was he/she thinking :)
Poor thing still has tears in her eyes!
So that left the bottom tooth on the right that had also been loose. It started moving into the space where the other tooth was. So she had one tooth in the middle and gaps on both sides... hehe. But luckily it was super loose too and when we picked her up from school on Tues (May 20th), she was so excited to tell us that her second tooth had came out when she ate a goldfish. WooHooo... now that was easy :) Tooth fairy left $5 for this one. I guess the first one was just super special :)

9 year anniversary date :)

Landon and I were finally able to celebrate our 9 year anniversary this past weekend. Landon had asked me earlier in the week if we could go out and celebrate on Friday and I agreed that night was good. As we are talking about what we might want to do, he says I think I know what we are doing but it's going to be a surprise. Well, I don't like surprises, especially if I know I have a surprise coming. So I begged him to tell me and tried everything I could to get it out of him... (I am soooo bad I know). He accepts to love me just the way I am.. haha. Anyways.. he told me to be ready by 6:15 Friday. So, I hopped in the shower and he took the kids over to my mom's. I then get a text.. "go find a surprise in the guest bedroom". So.. I run in there like a little kid a find a pretty White House Black market box and a Jessica Simpson box. I think my jaw dropped to the floor and I was all grins. (I kinda had the suspicion after asking a million questions that he might have picked me out a dress...but heels too?? awwww). He had picked out the most gorgeous dress (with the help of the girl at the store) and some pretty black heels (with the help of my sister's, since Chelsea lives in heels).

I texted him when I was ready, he walks in the door to pick me up with a dozen red roses and my favorite wine... as if he hadn't already done enough!! He even left the house in a tshirt and shorts and dressed at my moms so that he was ready. I felt so special!!!!

We then had a nice dinner at Venesia's on their back patio and followed that by a few drinks at the hotel rooftop downtown. We were home by 9:00pm like the old folk and didnt even have kids to pick up, since they stayed the night at my parents. It was a perfect evening and I am so glad that Landon chose me to be his wife :)
My gorgeous attire picked out and bought all by the hubby :)

Anxious to see what the next 50 years holds! Love you babe. Thanks for making my night so special!

Mother's Day!!

I had a fun and crazy filled Mother's Day. We decided last minute to make a trip to Baird and spend Mother's Day at my grandparents house with my grandparents, mom, aunts, sister and cousins. It's always so much fun when we all get together.

I am so thankful for my mom and everything she means to our family!! She is my best friend that I know I can count on for everything! I am also very lucky to have a grandmother that is an awesome godly role model and perfect Memaw to Landon and I and our kiddos. We are super blessed to have them both!
Love that they have an awesome relationship :) My hubby and My mommy (or his mom as he calls her)

And of course I wouldn't be a Mommy if it weren't for these two crazies!! Love being their Mommy! I came home to two charms for my braclet. One from the kiddos and one from the hubby :) Happy Mommy right here!

We hated missing a baby shower for a dear friend and Laney's last soccer game but I was feeling bad for missing Mother's Day with my mom and grandma. Glad we got the time that we did though!

Landon turns the big 3-0!!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not like surprises. I don't like surprises for myself unless I have no clue I am about to get one, I don't like keeping secrets if it pertains to a surprise. Christmas time is so hard for me!! Anyways, I knew I needed to do something special for my hubby this year since it was a big milestone birthday... 30!!!! Eeeek.. I started planning a little surprise get together with one week notice and I was nervous the whole time planning. But surprisingly I kept it a secret!!! Woohooooooo! He said he didn't have a clue unltil I mentioned where we were going, then he started thinking that is weird we never go there.. haha.

Let's just say he had a blast. He LOVES surprises (unlike me) and was so happy to see all his family and friends.

Thanks to all who showed up and made his day super special!!!!!!!!
