Wedding Time!!

Sorry for post after post. I am playing catch up :)

A few weeks back Landon got the privledge of officating a wedding of a former co-worker. So we headed to San Angelo for a quick little trip. My cousin lives in San Angelo, so the kids had lots of fun playing. We saw a play at the library Friday night while Landon was at the rehersal. Lots of park time and walking the river on Saturday. And Saturday night was the wedding. We had a blast to say the least!!
Kip at the rehersal dinner. He was cracking us up. A big ol salad.. he devoured that plate..haha

The wedding was gorgeous. It was on a ranch (the road to get to the ranch just about killed us) and just so happened that the sun was setting just as they were saying vows. Turned out beautiful and of course my hubby did amazing. Landon mentioned Laney and I in his ceremony and Laney thought that was so special :)

Honesty Award!

Honesty is the best policy :) And I am so glad that our little Laney Bug knows that. She recieved a 6 weeks award on honesty. Every 6 weeks they choose a child out of the class to recieve a character trait award. We were invited to an award ceremony, where she recieved an award, they feed us a nice meal (well as nice as cafeteria food can get..lol) and had a speaker. We couldn't be more pleased with our little girl.
Sweet girl!!
All the students that recieved the honesty award!

My mom and I surprised Laney with lunch this last week and the cafeteria lady stopped me and told me how sweet and polite Laney was. Little moments like this make you think you are doing something right.. lol.
She loves her Nanny!

Happy 9 year Anniversary!!

This year Landon and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary! I cannot even explain how much I love my Landy...words seriously cannot describe him. He is the best friend I could have ever asked for. He is the best daddy to our kiddos, they just absoultley adore him and look up to him. Landon is such a Godly role model for our family. I love that we can laugh and be goofy but can also be serious when need be. I thank God that we meet in highschool and that God placed us together. I couldn't have picked a better soul mate!

Easter 2014

We stayed super busy this Easter. Several easter egg hunts and lots of time with family :)

Our subdivison had an Easter party for the kids one Friday night, so we decided to swing by. They had crafts, pictures with the easter bunny and Orange Leaf yougurt. Kipton wasn't too fond of that big ol bunny but loved the ice cream..lol.

The Thursday before Easter we headed over to Tanner and Jodi's for pizza and an egg hunt with Parker and Liam. The kids had fun devouring all the candy and spending time with their cousins :)

Saturday before Easter all my family was in town, so we went to a church's egg hunt. Hot dogs, face painting, jumpers, egg hunts and more.

Easter Sunday.. Church time with the family!!!

Love this pic of the kiddos! Cousins! Wish lil Jhett lived closer.

My beautiful sisters!! So blessed to have them both!

And my handsome hubby!! SO blessed by him too and all that he means to our family!

~Spring break 2014~

We didn't have much of a spring break planned. Landon and I both had work, Kipton was in daycare but Laney was out of school. Landon and I took turns staying at home with her while the other worked.. so we decided we would take a quick trip to Abilene and take the kids to the zoo for a little fun. My mom joined us and we we also met up with my grandparents who are from Baird, 20 minutes away.

We planned on grabbing a quick bite to eat, then head to the zoo. We arrived for lunch and it started pouring... oh no! The last trip we took to the Abilene zoo it rained and stormed. So instead of a quick lunch we took our time, ran to a couple of stores while we waited for it to clear up. Luckily an hour later it stopped raining and we headed to see the animals.

Overall a great trip, but defintley not the most eventful spring break :)

Spring Time Fun!

Well I am just running a few months behind on our life. So here is a quick run through of the craziness we have been up to :)

We have taken advantage of all the nice weather we have had by just being outside. Our kids are constantly begging us to play outside, so we spend majority of our spring and summer outdoors :)

We started off by a weekend trip to Canton trade days with the family. The weather was perfect and of course so was the shopping! The guys played golf while we shopped and they had just as much fun!

Lots of trips to the park :)

Laney had rodeo day at school one Friday. They learned all kinds of cute songs that she had been practicing at home for a while. Luckily she already had a pair of boots and even a pair of cute miss me jeans but we had to go find a "cowgirl" shirt. She was super cute and we had a fun time watching!

Landon had the privilege to baptize a student in the Stonegate youth group. We have been volunteering in there for about 4 months and he was thrilled that he was asked to be a part of this big day. *Proud wifey moment*

We took the kids to the carnival. They neither one are scared of anything (well bugs) but they rode just about everything they were tall enough for and begged to go back the next day.. haha.

And that about wraps up the beginning of our Spring days!!

Project Quest

We are so proud of our Laney Bug. The school sent out a letter in Kindergarden asking if you want to test your child for the gifted and talented program. Landon and I talked about it and didn't really see a reason why we wouldn't, so we signed the paper and sent it back to school. We didn't make a big deal at all about the program or the testing. They tested Laney over several months. Most of the time we didn't even know she had a test that day unless her teacher mentioned it. We know she is a smart little girl and has an insane memory but really wasn't quite sure what the results would be. We went out of town and came back to a letter stating that she was accepted in to Project Think and Project Quest. They take the top percentage for all MISD for these programs. We were stoked!!!! She loves school, takes every oppurtunity to learn and soak up all that she can. She is now pulled from class every Tuesday and Thursday to meet with her Project Think and Project Quest teacher to dig in deeper. There is 5 kindergarten students at her school that are in Project Think and she is the only kindergardener in Quest. She will automatically be accepted into Carver in the second grade and we couldn't be more pleased! It's a wonderful school with awesome teachers.

We do not give all of this credit to ourselves by the way. She had an amazing preschool teacher, Mrs. Mary, who helped her tremendously. We are so blessed that Laney got the time she did at Training Wheels.

And most of all we thank God for Laney and the brains he blessed her with.

We obviously would love her all the same if she wouldn't have gotten into the gifted and talented and we stressed that to her over and over!

Vegas 2014!!

Landon and I headed to Vegas a few weekends ago to celebrate our sister in law, Jodi's 30th birthday. This was a first time trip to Vegas for Landon and I think he is ready for the next trip already..lol. We had a blast needless to say! Time away without the kids, good company, great food, shopping, winning {and losing} money.
On the airplane headed out :)
We headed down on a Wednesday morning. We arrived super early in the morning, so that gave us all day to shop, eat and look around. That evening us girls went and saw Brittney in concert. That was so much fun! I was worried about the time change because her concert was at 9 Las Vegas time, so that means 11 our time. But she was so entertaining that I never once felt tired. (I am usually in bed by 9 or 10, so I did good. ha)
The Aria, where we stayed. It's gorgeous!
Thursday was more shopping, winning and losing money, dinner at the Olives at the Belagio to celebrate the birthday girl.

Happy 30th Jodi!

My love!
Landon and I, Tanner and Jodi, Rhonda (Jodi's mom), and Ben and Jenna!
Friday, it was time to wind down with some amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing massages! I wanna go back to spend all day at the Aria spa. It was so nice and what a perfect way to end the trip.

Saturday, we headed home to see our babies. I was informed when we picked them up that is both of thier dreams to fly on an airplane.. lol. Looks like we will have to make that happen some time :)
