Vegas 2014!!

Landon and I headed to Vegas a few weekends ago to celebrate our sister in law, Jodi's 30th birthday. This was a first time trip to Vegas for Landon and I think he is ready for the next trip already..lol. We had a blast needless to say! Time away without the kids, good company, great food, shopping, winning {and losing} money.
On the airplane headed out :)
We headed down on a Wednesday morning. We arrived super early in the morning, so that gave us all day to shop, eat and look around. That evening us girls went and saw Brittney in concert. That was so much fun! I was worried about the time change because her concert was at 9 Las Vegas time, so that means 11 our time. But she was so entertaining that I never once felt tired. (I am usually in bed by 9 or 10, so I did good. ha)
The Aria, where we stayed. It's gorgeous!
Thursday was more shopping, winning and losing money, dinner at the Olives at the Belagio to celebrate the birthday girl.

Happy 30th Jodi!

My love!
Landon and I, Tanner and Jodi, Rhonda (Jodi's mom), and Ben and Jenna!
Friday, it was time to wind down with some amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing massages! I wanna go back to spend all day at the Aria spa. It was so nice and what a perfect way to end the trip.

Saturday, we headed home to see our babies. I was informed when we picked them up that is both of thier dreams to fly on an airplane.. lol. Looks like we will have to make that happen some time :)

Kipton's 3rd Birthday!!

Our sweet little Kipton turned three a few weeks ago. We celebrated our little guy with friends and family at church here in town. He had a blast with all his friends.

A few things Kipton is up too these days:

-He loves super heros.. spider man to the rescue is his favorite saying right now and he likes to put his sister and even his mommy in a web when he gets mad.. ha

-He is all boy.. spitting (which he gets in trouble for doing), grunts, growls, jumping on furniture (which he also gets in trouble for), wrestling with dad and even sissy sometimes

-He loves every sport right now but especially loves golf and baseball. I think he is definitely gonna be an athlete of some sort. Balls are all over my house.. all the time ;)

-He is definitely all boy but is for sure a mommy's boy and loves to give me hugs, kisses and cuddles all the time.

-He is a little comedian. If he sees you laugh at something he did, he will do it a million times.. haha. We find our selves constantly laughing at him or something he said or did.

-He loves playing with his sissy but it is getting harder now because he isn't into barbies and dressing up so Laney's feelings get hurt that he doesn't want to play. If she is willing to play with this boy toys he is all for it.

Here are are few pics of Kipton's golf birthday party fun:

We love you Kipton Wayne! So grateful to God that he allowed us to be your mommy and daddy!

~Crazy 2014~

I am going to wrap up our beginning of 2014 with some pictures!

So here we go!

We ended 2013 by cuddling with the kids at the drive in movies. After the movies we headed home and neither Landon or I could stay awake until midnight. I woke up at 11:40 and was back out.. haha. So needless to say we had a non eventful night but I wouldn't have wanted to have it any other way.

Laney was out of school for a few weeks during Chrismas and New Years, so she got to spend time with my sisters, mom and grandparents. She kept texting me while I was at work. I can't believe how well she was texting. Blew my mind!

Tried making another wreath for my mom and I. Still need practice but I find it kinda fun to be crafty every now and then.

Had a few nights with friends to start the new year off.

Had fun at Miss Charley's birthday party!

We kept cousin Parker a few nights while her mommy and daddy took a vacation and they came back with the kids a present. Kipton loves his dinosaur mask and likes to scare me in the dark when he is supposed to be in bed..haha. He says.. roar!!!!

And... the real fun begins..... Landon had a pain in his right side for a few days. He made a Dr appt to see what was going on. The Dr sent him to get a cat scan and they found on the test that he had appendicitis. They wheeled him straight to the ER for surgery. It all happened so quickly with no time to prepare. Luckily his appendix hadn't ruptured and the surgery went fast and recovery wasn't too horrible. He is feeling alot better but still having to take it easy. We are headed to Vegas in a few weeks so we are very thankful this happened now and not then. But no skydiving or golf in Vegas like he was hoping ;(

Everything is better with a Chick fil a milkshake :)

Flowers my work sent to Landon. (I really think they were for me..lol).

We were out of the hospital Friday and just in time to celebrate our little boy turning 3. That post is following as soon as I have time to sit and download pictures :)

2014 hasn't started the exact way we would have chose but we are defintley thankful for the way things turned out. It could have been alot worse! So, here is too a smooth sailing rest of the year!

Christmas 2013

Well, yet another Christmas has come and gone! We had a wonderful time with all of our family and friends this year, as always. We are so blessed by all of them!

First Christmas we celebrated was with The Hayes Fam :)

Christmas Eve we celebrated with more family :) Love how they are all hugging!

We also went to a candle light service at my parents church. Both kids were sick come Christmas Eve. Laney had strep and Kipton had ear infections. Luckily the kids acted fine and as soon as the anitibiotics kicked in I felt alot better too!

This is cousin Avery!

We went and looked at Christmas lights in our jammies, came back home to watch the Grinch and drink some hot chocolate.

The Saturday after Christmas my grandparents and sister, hubby and baby Jhett came down.

I think my family over does it every year! Spoiled kids ;)

My little Spiderman to the rescue!

Laney and cousin Aidan.

Laney got her some stylin riding boots. Mommy is jealous!

My beautiful Memaw with the grand kids!

Santa made a surprise visit at my moms before he headed to the North Pole. He brought us all jammies and brought the kids stockings. Kip was a little reluctant.. haha.

We had a blessed Christmas and hope that you did too!! Bring on 2014 :)

Ryko- Our elf!

Ryko has returned this year!! He has done a few naughty and messy things this year but he has also left us a few reminders.

Ryko was playing tic tac toe on the marshmallows and Laney thought he was being ugly, so she decided she needed to write a letter to Santa. Ha!

Both kids wrote letters to Santa. The first Santa we saw Laney asked him for a barbie. Then when she saw Santa at school and wrote out a list of the goodies she wanted she decided to add iPad, doggie, Tech picture frame, flower pot, flowers (a girl after my own heart on this one.. lol) and a few other random things. Kipton asked Santa for a motorcycle (small one he said), turtle and baby. Ha! These kids crack me up. Well Ryco had to remind them that when and if they don't get these things what the one and only true present is ;)

Ryko eating ALL the gumballs.

The excitement of the kids asking where Ryko is every morning and searching for him is fun. But then again we don't want to put too much focus on the elf and Santa. Laney is very curious this year and asking great questions... Does Ryko know Jesus? and I thought only Jesus knows what we are doing and thinking but now Santa can too? This is a great time of year to bring her focus to Jesus :) And wow what a great reminder to her mommy, daddy and brother too! Don't get me wrong.. we are still incorporating the fun traditions of this season but are trying our hardest to divide a line in between them, if that makes any sense :) Jesus and Santa!

Tis the season!!

What a wonderful time of year!! We have kept ourselves busy busy and here is a little recap.

We started the month off with freezing ice and sleet. The kids were out of school, therefore I was not at work. We decided to take advantage and take the kids to see Frozen in 3D. We loved it, such a cute cute movie.

Last minute Christmas shopping made this guy wore out! Lol!

Goodies for Christmas parties :) White trash.. yummy stuff!

We have been going over the different names of Jesus this season with the kids. It has been so awesome to see Laney remember the names of Jesus and tell us what each name means. We are really putting tons of emphasis on the true meaning of Christmas!! Here are a few words we have done, after we read verses and talk about the name we make an ornament.

Laney made a baby Jesus in swaddling close under the star of David at church last Sunday and she has slept with baby Jesus and absolutely loves it. This was the most precious craft ever! So thankful for awesome teachers at Stonegate. She has learned so much and memorizes a verse every Sunday. I pray that she keeps those verses close to her heart forever!

Parties, Parties and more Parties!!

Pajama Day for both kids :)

Laney's school party. She wanted to take a pic with a few girls she shares her table with :)

Kipton's school party and book exchange.

And last but not least, Landon's work Christmas party. My mom and dad kept the kids for us and they spent the night with them. I love the nights where Landon and I can just take our time with friends and not have to rush to put kids to bed! We had an awesome time and love our time togehter with no kids :)

Love this season and pray that each one of us remember the true reason for the season... JESUS!
