Laney turned "3"

Well I am a little (okay alot) behind on this post, but Laney turned the big "3" in May. She told me she wanted a tea party, then a month later (after I had bought all the decorations) told me she wanted a princess party, so we just made it a "Princess Tea Party". She had a great turnout with all her favorite people (minus a few that couldn't come). It was a very hot, hot, hot day but I don't think the heat bothered her one bit. Here are a few pictures that I got (none of them turned out great because my camera at the time was not a good one, but thanks to my husband for my birthday I now have a great camera)!!

Tea party with her friends (minus a few that showed up later)

She had tons of gift to open... can you tell she was a little hot? poor girl!

A few of my great friends

The birthday girl with her friends!!

Thanks to all who shared this special day with our little Princess. And a big thanks to Landon for getting our back yard all ready for the big day (and of course I didn't get a picture of the yard all put together but there was some cute decorations hanging from the trees). Birthdays are alot of work.. so I am thinking next year should be something indoors and alot cooler :)

Woahhh!

Woahhhh... where did the last four months go. It has been forever since I last posted on my blog, I guess I could say these two little ones keep us pretty busy. Here is a run down of the last four months (hopefully I can blog them all later in more detail): Laney turned 3, Kipton turned 6 months, we celebrated my sister's wedding, celebrated alot of birthdays, took the kids on vacation to Great Wolfe Lodge, Landon started his new job that we have been praying for and I am sure there are things I am missing but that is all I can think of right now. (Those were not in chronological order either).

Here are just a few pictures I wanted to share of the two little ones!

Laney's silly face :) She is a hoot!!

My chunky lil man snoozing away!

And of course my love! I am so thankful for him! No clue where I would be without him ♥

Well, that's all I got for now. I hope to blog all of our fun events in more detail later. Hope you all have a great day!

2 months old

Kipton turned 2 months old on 3/13/11. He is already growing and changing so much!

What Kip is up to these days:

Weight/ Height: 11 lbs and 23 inches long - 50% for his weight, 50% for height and his head is in the 40% (which is surprising because Laney's head was always in the 90% percentile.. she gets her head from her daddy (it's all those brains :)))

Sleeping: Let me just tell you this little boy loves his sleep (just like his momma). He is already sleeping through the night. He will sleep 7-8 hours. So thankful for that :)

He is wearing 3 month clothes and is starting to fill out his cheeks. He always looks for his momma (which melts my heart of course). Laney says she is daddy's girl and Kip seems to be a momma's boy!

He is really trying hard to laugh. He makes some funny noises for sure :) He loves to smile when someone is talking to him.

I am ready for a fun Spring with my kids! and hubby of course!

1 month old

Kipton will actually already be 2 months on Sunday but I am trying to play catch up.. sorry!

Weight: 7 lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long

Sleeps: All the time :) Only awake for maybe 4 hours a day

Eats: 4 ounces every 3 hours... and during the night will go 4-5 hours between feedings

He has been the happiest baby! He seriously sleeps, eats, poops and pees and that's about it :) He has been smiling in his dreams since day 1. We could have not asked for a more peaceful baby.

Just for fun here is a picture of Laney at 1 month old

Kipton

Do you see any similarites between them? Landon and I both think that Kipton looks alot like Laney did.

Around the house lately...

So I am little (ok alot) behind on my blogging. I have been pretty busy chasing around a busy little girl and snuggling with a precious little boy.

So here are a few things that we have been up to:

Lots of baths around the house lately...
(Kipton's first bath)

Lots and lots of naps around this house lately....

Lots of kisses around the house lately....

Lots of hugs around the house lately...

I love these two so much and I am so blessed!!

Take a look back!

Christmas 2008 (7 months old)

Christmas 2009 (19 months old)

Christmas 2010 (2 yrs 7 months) (no picture with Santa this year, she was scared of the big ol guy, but she would take a picture with Santa's little helper)

Christmas 2010

What a wonderful Christmas we had! Lots of fun family time! It is so fun to see the holidays through your child's eyes! Laney had a great Christmas and was trying to really grasp what the season was all about.

Of course she was spoiled rotten by her grandparents. She got a swing set, huge trampoline and a kitchen.

Checking out what Santa brought her.. a Dora microphone and Dora dollhouse

Trying on her Princess dress up clothes.

Sweet kisses from cousin Parker

Laney wouldn't go near Santa this year but she made sure and yelled across the mall when we saw him. She would say "Santa, I want a Dora" as loud as she could. She wanted him to hear what she wanted but was scared to death to even come feet within him. Silly girl!

We are thinking that Kipton is coming early but looks like he didn't come during the holiday.. whew! I am getting really ready for his arrival. I am uncomfortable as ever but I am just so ready to meet him. Laney keeps telling him "Come out Tipton"! She is really ready to take on a Big sister role!

Elf on the Shelf

We bought an "Elf on the Shelf" for Laney this year and so far it has been a fun purchase. We got out the Elf on Thanksgiving Day and read the book that came along with him. It explained what he was in our house for. Pretty much he watches Laney and goes to report to Santa on how she behaved that day, then he returns the next morning and he always lands in a new spot. The first thing to do is give him a name. We asked Laney what she would like to call him and the only two things she kept saying were Jesus and Santa. Well of course those names were not going to work or else she would be really confused, so her dad came up with the name Ryko (a name he has always wanted to name a son... but I always thought it sounded like a dog name, so needless to say he thought this was his only chance to use that name :)) At first I wasn't so sure that Laney got it, but she is starting to understand and it is so fun to watch her wake u every morning and find "Ryko" in a different spot. She talks to him and tells him things to tell Santa. She usually says, "Ryko, I'm a good girl and I want pizza and a pillow pet".

We obviously know that Christmas is not about Santa and being good so you get presents but it is a fun tradition we decided to start with our family. We will defintley be teaching Laney what Christmas is all about and why we celebrate this very important season!
